I am currently watching Live coverage of the The Phoenix Lander. Its programmed to set down near the North Pole of Mars, and, over the next three months, sample alien soil and ice and look for conditions conducive for ancient microbial life.
Wonder if it will succeed? Its no easy feat landing something that big at that distance!
I popped out for some shopping yesterday and whilst sat in the car eating some Sushi I observed a few old aged drivers attempting to park. Below I note my observations:
- They drive really slow. I mean REALLY slow.
- Lots of hesitation on where to park, even though there is loads of space.
- Coming to a stop in the middle of the road.
- Reversing.
- Coming to a stop again.
- Forward.
- Coming to a stop again.
- Repeat points 4-7.
- Turning into a parking place, then putting on the indicator.
- Mounting the curb.
- The driver typically cannot see over the steering wheel.
I think aged drivers should stop driving once coordination skills disappear. How else do they get shopping, I hear you say? Who is to blame for this? Blame the Supermarkets. All the local shops are closing, hence forcing the aged drivers to take to the wheel.
Revenge is sweet.
So here it is:
Frankly I'm annoyed at how boring my life is. I partly give this as the reason for poor blogging. How do you write something about your life if it is as interesting as watching paint dry? As well as being, well, pissed off with how boring my life is, my search for that illusive job is also getting me down. How do you get experience if nobody will give you a job to get the experience? Its a catch 22 situation that's getting worse by the fact its disrupting my sleep pattern with thoughts of; 'when will things change?'. I'm going mad!
I mean, Im not a bad person compared to some individuals. I don't lock people up, or chop people up. I pay my rather high taxes and follow the highway code. So give me a break!
I have wonderful friends, dont get me wrong. And a great family. Both of which I love. Not many of my friends here in Hull take full advantage of technology like I love to do. I need more geeky friends who know what social bookmarking or micro-blogging is. Trouble is, I do not have any here in Hull that share my tech interest. Only those in online communities.
Well, enough for now...

What do you do when you get a crush on someone?
Submitted by Desi.
Well, hats off to the blogger who came up with this question. Reason be, I have had a crush recently on someone at work. What have I done about it? Well, not much really apart from making a fool of myself when I told her she had an unusual accent that was nice. Bah! Did I ever feel the fool afterwards!
I now have the problem of wanting to work the same hours she is just so I can see her. I know nothing will come of it, a crush can be bloody annoying! Its not a perfect world and living in a dream floating on cloud nine while your working is not a good idea.
I have always been rather forward so I might wait for the right moment {If I am meant to have one} to tell her:
"Hey, look you are what dreams are made of"
or something along those lines...
No beating around the bush is my idiom.
Yes, the reason is I have been occupied with revision the past two weeks. I had an exam, Server+ yesterday, and passed which is cool. I should now have a bit more time to be proactive and report on here!
What has been happening recently? Well, apart from studying I have been testing out new equipment (Logitech z-5500) that is sweet. THX certified sound with high definition movies...wow!
My next project is installing and testing some Linux distros onto a Micro ATX set up. Looking forward to playing with Ubuntu! I will post some pictures of my venture when I start the project.
Also going to start my studies into the telecommunications system, Cisco CVoice is the next learning curve!
Sorry for the distinct lack of updates recently. Nothing of interest has happened recently. I have been real busy with work and study (and watching simultaneous episodes of the most recent series of 24).
Must try and stay on top of my blogging and put this site to good use!
I recommend you all try PicLens. Quite a cool firefox add-on, it instantly transforms your browser into a full-screen, 3D experience for viewing images on the web. Great for all the social networking sites you visit, shame it has not got vox capability yet! I love the ability to swizzle and zoom through a gallery of pics. Give it a try!
I have booked to sit Server+ exam next month. Cost me a small sum of £164! Small price to pay for my career. With some determination I should be able to get into the line of work I would like and gain some experience.
Read an interesting article the other day on depression. A psychiatrist argues that depression is not a human defect at all, but a defence mechanism that in its mild and moderate forms can force a healthy reassessment of personal circumstances. I sometimes go through small stages of introspection and mild depression. But then I come out with new direction, motivation and determination to do better. So, depression is a good thing in small doses? Personal experience has convinced me that depression really is a healthy human condition that appropriately introduces itself at a convenient time and gives us a good kick up the backside. Although it does not feel good at the time it is in fact good for us. No pain no gain they say...
Oh, tis a strange thing to be human!
Q. What's the best thing about today?
Seeing my friends this morning and now visiting my folks and having dinner with them.
Just finished eating a massive Sunday lunch! =)
Had one of those weeks where you are just fed up and bored with everything?
I mean, what's the point in this blog? No one reads it... I might as well be writing on a bloody brick wall.
I'm even more determined to do something with my life this year. I'm fed up of sitting back. I don't want to waste it. Things have got to change.
Get busy living, or get busy dying.
I chose the former.
